Too slow to handle

When designing event handlers in javascript, semaphoring should always be a must, as events run asynchronously and can fire multiple times.
What I learned now is, that one has to check with double semaphoring against re-entrance, because the iPhone/iPad in some cases interprets javascript slow enough to fall through a single semaphored re-entrance protection.
Even though checking the semaphore and setting it are sequentially running instructions.
Reproducing this error was a challenge - finding the problem another.
