Kai Strieder
After working for the Institute of Journalism at the university of Dortmund, the german magazine DER SPIEGEL and Axel Springer Verlag AG, Kai Strieder started Pixelboxx GmbH in august 2000.
Pixelboxx is the result of one of the first fully web based image management systems, which was first prototyped during Kais time at DER SPIEGEL. This particular concept of an image management system was further implemented in 1998 at images.de.
Pixelboxx took off after implementing first installations at Henkel KGaA, Miele and several stock photo agencies.
Pixelboxx GmbH is a leading supplier of 100% web based media asset management solutions. Fortune 500 companies as well as small enterprises use pixelboxx as the leading tool for a media and image infrastructure.
Pixelboxx supplies content management systems, print, pos-, and interactive media with dial-tone like, dependable and robust image-rendering services.
Pixelboxx currently employs about 35 people. The software is now one of the industry-wide leading solutions for web based media management. This solution suite incorporates workflows, quality management, rule based automatic conversions and scales to very large volumes into millions of images, documents or media files and specializes into automatic media processes in multichannel marketing missions.
